I will be adding the Delmar Benjamin Cowling (AKA Wolfpitts Cowling) to my airplane later this year. People may ask why not now? Well I have one more contest this year that isn’t until 17th of October. Since I have only been to one contest this season I am discovering patience and waiting to dismantle my plane until after that. Plus it gives me time to collect parts and pieces. Below is a listing of Parts required and other Items that will occur at the time of the modification.
- DB Cowling (Wolf Cowling
- Prop Extension (2.25″ Vans 6 bolt extension)
- 6 – 7″ long Prop Bolts from Saber Manufacturing
- Carbon 14″ Spinner (Wolf Aircraft)
- Relocate Oil cooler to rear left baffling
- Fabricate New engine baffling (mine is old and tattered I have been putting this off for a while)
- 2- 3 Ft long extruded piano hinge to close the cowling
- Modify Exhaust to fit inside the cowling
The finished Result (well unpainted of course)
