FUSELAGE AND WINGS
- Long Fuselage 124 3/4″ with 53″ from the FW to the upper seat back cross tube
- Raven Aircraft Pitts S-1 Wing Kit with Aluminum Ailerons (www.ravenaircraft.com)
- 1/4 Round Tip bows modification
- Aileron Length 58″ (lower) 62″ (upper) Hinges are at the 29.1% Chord of the aileron
- 3 hinges per aileron with Fafner balled bearings (www.mmbearing.com)
- Stock wing span 17′ 3″
- Wing dihedral reduced to 0.8 deg positive from 3 deg (stock) (0 deg of dihedral looks like the wings droop, 0.8 is just about right)
- Oversized Rudder (35% more rudder area) different shape (dimensions are here
- Stock S-1S strap hinges for the elevator and tail
- Elevator tips were squared (all about looks)
- Stock Trim set up (wished I did the S-2B, S-2C, S1-11, Christen Eagle, Pitts Model 12 set up)
- Removable Carbon Fiber Turtle Deck was fabricated from Scratch Tilted back the baggage for more room to look up)
- 1/8″ Lexan Floor plates and Lexan Side windows.
